Hi Jade Kitchen community,
We’re so grateful for all your support during this summer series - truly, thank you. Together, we prepared and enjoyed 340 bento boxes this season! Your patience as we experimented with new recipes and transitioned into our first commercial kitchen has meant the world. I’ve loved meeting so many of you at pickups and deliveries, and hearing your thoughtful feedback in person.
That said, we’ve decided to wrap up our summer series one week early. This wasn’t an easy decision - I do my best to honor my commitments, especially to this community. But the reality is, the physical labor took a toll on our small team, and I was beginning to feel deeply burnt out. I want to show up for you all with joy, energy, and creativity - not exhaustion.
This past weekend was our biggest yet, with over 2x our usual volume, which made it clear just how intense it can be to scale this kind of operation. We’ve learned so much, and now we’re taking the next few months to rest, reflect, and reimagine a version of Jade Kitchen that’s more sustainable for long-term growth.
We’re exploring new formats that align with our mission to make healthy Chinese food more accessible - from frozen meals to soup kits to congee kits and more. If there’s something you’d love to see from us, just reply to this email or text me directly.
